Today, the final event of the international project BRIDGE implemented in support of the funds of the European Union took place in the Art Gallery.
The opening and start of the XIth Cycling Road race BALTIC CHAIN TOUR started today in Laisvė Square. The BALTIC CHAIN TOUR race has been held since 2011. They are symbolic commemoration of the Baltic Way campaign which was organised on August 23, 1989 in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This year, Lithuania is represented in the race by two teams - "Voltas Cycling Team" and "Kaunas Cycling Team".

This project examines the challenges associated with the use of public space in cities. The project aims to share good practices and promote the accessibility of public transport, the vitality of quality public space, accessibility for various user groups. It will create visions of the future by testing possible public space solutions. The ability to enjoy the city's public spaces in different ways makes it vibrant and attractive, and quality becomes part of a sustainable city.
