Panevėžys is a Partner in International URBACT Project SPACE4PEOPLE

Panevėžys City Municipality is implementing the project SPACE4PEOPLE funded by the European Union program URBACT.
The aim of the project is to increase the attractiveness of public spaces by focusing on three main aspects: 1) pedestrians and their spaces 2) parking problems 3) intermodal and public transport.
On October 21, Panevėžys City Municipality starts Phase II of the project. Due to global pandemic situation a meeting with foreign partners of Bielefeld (Germany), Valga (Estonia), Serres (Greece), Turku (Finland), Saint Germaine en Laye (France), Arad (Romania), Badalona and Guia de Isora (Spain) will take place on-line.
For three days, discussions and experiences in the field of urban public space solutions will be discussed. Some measures will be proposed to solve the problems of transport and parking in the city, an analysis will be performed and a small-scale pilot project will be carried out a little later.
