After Crossing the Border of the Republic of Lithuania:
In case you have no place to stay, first go to Alytus Registration Centre (A. Juozapavičiaus Street 33, Alytus, telephone no.+370 692 59 977). There the following shall be provided:
- temporary accommodation, catering;
- arranging documents for permission to temporarily reside in the Republic of Lithuania;
- medical care and psychological support.
First of all, the citizens of Ukraine are urged to fill in the war refugee application for assistance on the website www.stipruskartu.lt.
It is important for the citizens of Ukraine fleeing the war to have personal identification documents (biometric passports) when they arrive in Lithuania. A visa-free regime is applied in Lithuania for a period of 90 days.
National visas are not issued to the citizens of Ukraine who do not have a valid foreign passport, but applications for a temporary residence permit due to humanitarian reasons are accepted.
Ukrainians, who have a place to stay in Panevėžys, can arrange their migration documents at Beržų Street 48. Working hours: Monday 7.30–18.30; Tuesday–Thursday 7.30–16.30; Friday 7.30–15.15
After arranging the necessary documents, Ukrainian citizens shall be issued permissions to temporarily reside in the Republic of Lithuania or national visas. Visa validity term – one year.
Registration is necessary, since during it procedures shall be initiated that will ensure social guarantees to Ukrainians staying in Lithuania.
