The Mayor thanked the Sodiers of the USA for the Contribution to Security
"We greatly appreciate your contribution to our security, Euro-Atlantic solidarity. In the context of nowadays geo-political realities, our inhabitants feel safer due to active cooperation. I hope that you will show active participation in the events of the community and take the best impressions from Panevėžys",- said the Mayor Rytis Račkauskas to the guest.
The Chief of 173rd Airborne Brigade of the U. S. Army stressed that their main aim is to guarantee security together with the NATO allies. At present, there are about 80 soldiers in Panevėžys.
"We are glad to be together with you and have trainings in civic environment for national defence. These trainings is a great opportunity to learn more about the culture of the country. Our soldiers enjoyed the visit to the Cinema Theatre and a shopping centres. We shall be active in the events of the coming City Birthday.",- said the Chief of the company.
U.S. military forces in Lithuania will continue to hone joint training procedures together with King Mindaugas Hussar Battalion in Panevėžys.
