The Workshop of SPACEFORPEOPLE Project took place in Hybrid Way

The Expert Ignas Valentinavičius presented the European Territorial Cooperation Program URBACT, which aims to promote sustainable integrated urban development in European cities. He spoke about a special program where tasks are performed according to a special URBACT methodology, etc. During the workshop the participants presented ideas on how to transform the city's public spaces into recreation, entertainment and children's play areas. Justina Pajus, Ambassador of the Global Panevėžys project, shared her experience of public transport services provided to the residents of Tallinn. Dalia Gurskienė, the manager of the project SpaceforPeople spoke about the possibility to involve representatives of the business community in the project activities, which could contribute to the creation of the attractiveness of the city's public spaces.
During the meeting, it was decided to organize such workshops as often as possible, the nearest ones - already this week.
Panevėžys City Municipality is implementing the project SpaceforPeople funded by the European Union URBACT program, which aims to increase the attractiveness of public spaces, focusing on three main aspects: pedestrians and their spaces, parking problems, intermodal and public transport.
