A Meeting with the Hounourable Member of General Assembly of European Council
The guest will hand over the award of European Council- the Plaque of Honour during the opening ceremony of European Elite Cycling Track Championship.
"We already have European Diploma and European Flag. The intensive works were continued and we already have the awrad of higher level. Today we can really boast that Panevėžys is the only city in Lithuania receiving the Plaque of Honour for the promotion of European ideas, active development of international relations. We hope that this is not thelast step, the main prize -European Prizes is still in our future plans",- said the Mayor Vitalijus Satkevičius.
"It will be agreat pleasure for me to hand over the important award of European Council. Moreover, the Nobel Prize is given to European Union. The award given to Panevėžys becomes even more important",- said K. Buhler.
The guest got acquainted with the city, cooperation with 10 partner cities of Panevėžys.
